Needless to say, the hurricane that swept across the southeast United States last week set FHQ back to some degree. Thus the lack of updates until all of those catch-up posts clogged subscribers inboxes on Wednesday. And while I was affected by the storm, a 63 hour power outage and some comparatively minor damage was far less insurmountable than what other folks throughout the region have had and will have to endure. Despite the time away and an intervening vice presidential debate, the outlook for the 2024 presidential race does not appear fundamentally different here at FHQ than it did late last week. Nevertheless, the polls kept coming in. The toplines of race may not have changed much, but that does not mean that there are not dynamics underneath to explore. Ready, set, go…
