Newly amended legislation currently in conference committee may — MAY — save the Missouri presidential primary for the 2024 cycle. An election omnibus bill eliminated the election at the end of the 2022 General Assembly regular session and one attempt in 2023 has already fallen short in the state House.

But the last minute legislative rush before adjournment that doomed the primary in 2022 may be its saving grace in 2023.
