Kansas Presidential Primary Rejected in State House

The last-minute bill ultimately fell victim to its price tag

As quickly as the idea arose, the push to reestablish a presidential primary in Kansas died a fast death on Monday, April 3. The state House took up a simple concurrence motion to consider the Senate substitute to HB 2053 — the measure to resurrect the presidential primary in the Sunflower state — and things went downhill from there.
