2024 Primary Calendar and Rules Updates for May 4 -- Georgia, Iowa & Nevada

Another day, another primary date. Two things are true about this time of a presidential nomination cycle: delegate selection plans roll in on the Democratic side and more or less set party-run contest dates for the following year and state legislatures begin to wind down their work for session, sealing the fates of bills that carry presidential primary date changes. And in Georgia on Thursday, May 4, Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger (R) added the Peach state to that mix, announcing the date of the presidential primary there.
