Recently the DNC Rules and Bylaws Committee convened in St. Louis as part of the national party’s fall meeting to deal with a few loose ends in the review of state delegate selection plans as 2024 approaches. The calendar dominated the headlines coming out of the meeting because of the players involved — Iowa and New Hampshire — but that did not mean that there were not fruitful and noteworthy discussions on other consequential topics. Importantly, fully a third of state delegate selection plans (19) are in full compliance.
