Democrats are making decisions now that will affect the Republican presidential nomination process in 2024

Back in December of last year, the White House announced its support for a fundamental shake up to the beginning of the Democratic presidential primary calendar. In the months that followed, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) adopted the proposal that will not only affect a likely nominally competitive Democratic presidential nomination, but impact the Republican process as well.
